Happy Thursday.
The build this week: Heven AeroTech has opened a 56,000-square-foot hydrogen-drone production facility in Winchester, Virginia, its first factory on the East Coast.
Underneath: a $600 million aerostat order, a new U.S. energetics platform, 5G module production in Pennsylvania, and eight industrial transactions moving capital into physical systems.

The Lead
Heven AeroTech opened a 56,000-square-foot production facility in Winchester, Virginia, on Wednesday. It is the hydrogen-drone company's first factory on the East Coast and the first node in a planned national network beyond its manufacturing base in the Columbia River Gorge.
The plant will support production of Heven's Z1, a hydrogen-powered unmanned aircraft included on the Defense Innovation Unit's Blue UAS Select list. The new site also gives the company an East Coast operating base closer to defense customers, suppliers and the federal procurement system clustered across Virginia and the capital region.
Heven says Winchester is establishing the manufacturing processes, quality controls, supply-chain infrastructure and operating discipline it expects to reuse as the network expands. The company plans to add hydrogen propulsion manufacturing, advanced labs, automation and space for co-located technology providers across future sites.
Recruiting is active as production ramps. The company names manufacturing technicians, aircraft assembly, quality, operations and supply chain among its future hiring areas, while its current job board also reaches into hydrogen systems, materials and integration. Heven projects hundreds of jobs nationwide over the coming years, though it has not broken out a Winchester total.
For Winchester, the first payoff is a working factory rather than a promise on a map. The next measure is whether Heven can repeat the launch while preserving process control. If it can, the Virginia line becomes more than an East Coast outpost. It becomes the playbook for a domestic hydrogen-drone production network.
